I need a pedometer that is accurate, long lasting and counts steps. I just want it to count my steps, and if it tells the time, then cool, but the accurate step counting is essential. I researched Omron, and I read some really bad reviews, Omron supposedly stops working after 2 to 3 months. I know its accurate, but I need a longlasting one too. I was thinking about getting freestyle paces pro I read that its very accurate and that it only counts steps, is this true? I couldn’t find any information thats bad besides trouble opening the battery case to replace it, so I don’t know about that. I just want a few recommendations of a variety of pedometers giving honest pros and cons for these pedometers. I really want quality. Real life experiences are welcome.

When I take a step with my new pedometer (Omron Pro II) it always records 2 steps, e.g. my feet touch the ground five times, and it says 10 steps).
Why does it do this? Is that how they work, or is there something wrong with it? (It does it whether in my pocket, hand, on my belt etc)
